Senior Research Consultant (6 month Contract-Perm)

The Client

Our client specialises in economic, community and industry research for government, business and academic institutions.  For the past 30 years they have provided consultancy services in the areas of market and social research, strategic planning, economic development and place marketing to business and government.  They have an energetic, enthusiastic, flexible and professional consulting team who tailor their research projects to each of their client’s particular needs and challenges.

 

The Position

This varied role will see you become part of a small consultancy team fully supported by prominent and leading academics.  You will be involved in all stages of research consulting from designing and managing research studies to delivering and assisting clients with the integration of results.  You will leverage your research expertise to provide vital insights to their loyal and recognised clients.  Working across a range of approaches and studies, you will be exposed to: customer satisfaction, branding, corporate reputation and new product development.  If you are a Quant and Qual all-rounder, thrive on finding the clever ways of doing things and enjoy working independently and as part of a team then this is the role for you!

 

The Requirements

To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate the following:

·         A minimum of 3 years’ experience within a market research agency environment

·         QPMR accredited

·         Outstanding quantitative research skills

·         Strong analytical and statistical skills and desire to further develop these skills using SPSS and/or Q

·         Excellent project management skills

·         Experience with industrial, local government and community consultation research (desirable)

·         Experience with qualitative research, including indepths and group moderation (desirable)

·         High focus on quality of output and attention to detail

·         A ‘hands on’ approach and enjoy working with both data and people

·         Personable, presentable and proactive

·         Mature, responsible and career focused.
